Kitchen Table Learning Strategies (Ages 4-8)
Spend a powerful hour learning together with your child in the Tiny Toy Co. workspace, and discover the power of our original loose parts learning activities! Parents will learn how to use everyday toys at home to enhance your child's literacy, numeracy, and cognitive skills. Each group will also have 30 minutes to tour and explore our workroom operations, learning about how kids and families can play a part in toy waste reduction for the environment.
School-aged kids 4-8y (JK-Grade 2) will work alongside a parent with Tiny Toy Co. founder and primary educator, Rebecca Saha (M.A., B.Ed., OCT) in our residentially-based Etobicoke workspace.
This workshop is suitable for kids aged 4-8, learning alongside a parent at each child's own level. Parents will come away equipped and inspired to continue using these learning methods with kids at home.

FAQ:
How many kids and parents will be there? To facilitate optimal learning, and due to space restrictions, this workshop has a maximum enrolment of 6 kids.
Can my partner and I both come with our child? Yes, that's fine if preferred.
Can I bring more than one sibling? Because this workshop is designed to teach parents how to work with their child at home, it is ideal to work 1-on-1 with a single child.
Can my child bring a friend? This particular workshop is designed to teach parents/guardians how to set their own child up for learning at home. Therefore, each child should be working with the adult who cares for them at home.
Can I bring a child younger than 4? Can I bring my baby? Not for this workshop. This is a parent-child workshop aimed at showing parents how to work with their school-aged kids at home. Your enrolled child will need your full attention, and you will be learning how to replicate our activities at home.
Can I see the workshop while I'm there? Yes, you will be able to see in person everything that's already in the shop online. Families will be invited to start with a tour, and finish with a few minutes to browse the workspace on their own, after we're done working together.
