WHO: Durham Early Childhood Educators

WHAT: Explore Loose Parts Learning using tiny toys, for language and cognitive development in the FDK program

WHEN: Wednesday, November 27, 2019, 4:30-6:30 PM

WHERE: Durham

WHY: Young children learn best with their hands involved. Loose parts -- and in particular, tiny toys -- lend themselves to open-ended inquiry and play-based learning. Tiny Toy Co. founder and teacher-librarian Rebecca Saha will share original curriculum activities, and strategies to plan lessons and activity centres that both engage, and develop young minds.

HOW: Get your hands busy! We'll play, explore, and discuss the original activities presented, and experience firsthand the power of open-ended learning with loose parts.
